A Unique Destination to Puchase Chicks to Mature Birds
Pheasant • Mallard Ducks • Chukar • Quail

Bears Bird's hatchery produces day-old pheasants and mallard ducklings between the regular hatching season, April thru August.  Over fifteen thousand chicks are hatched every week.  Of these chicks, forty thousand are kept and  raised to maturity on our farm. We supply to local hunt clubs and state parks, but we also have capabilities to transport mature birds anywhere in the continental US.

We are NPIP  (National Poultry Improvement Plan) approved, a standing member of IHOSA (Illinois Hunting and Outdoor Sport Association), BSA (Bird Shippers of America), and NAGA(North American Gamebird Association).

The 2010 season is over, I would like to thank everyone who has help and participated in supporting us and Twin Creek Farms.  With regrets, due to the down turn of the economy, it is costing us more to continue setting aside land than what we are getting out of it.

Most Birds Raised to Maturity need PEEPERSto help reduce cannibalism between birds.  Here at Bears Birds LLC, we have been using Heart Blinders from Dorris Game Bird Farm, Inc.  We have found them to hold up better than other peepers that we have tried out in the market.  Also, the peepers hold up in cold weather very well, which in turn one can get several uses out of these peepers without them breaking or wearing out.  Dave Doris can be contacted at dave.dorris@yahoo.com for more information on his peepers, or phone him at 208-896-4966
